The Ithaca Fighting Imps cut down the Lake Murray MotorBoaters by the score of 10-3, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Robinson Barrios. Barrios hit 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times for the Fighting Imps. Curt Gaines, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 3.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. With the win over Lake Murray, the Fighting Imps improved to 35-34.

The Fighting Imps got a big at-bat from designated hitter Mike Brown, who in the top of the third hit a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Fighting Imps on top, 3-0.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Ithaca manager Jeffrey Lewis.
