Behind a fine performance from Jack Roberts, the Arizona Javelina knocked off the Olympia Ogres, 6-4. Roberts went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Javelina. After today's action, Arizona sits at 31-38, while Olympia falls to 32-37.
Arizona used a well-timed hit by Carlos MacKnight to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Javelina ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Roberts told the Arizona Chronicle.
