Cangrejos Fantasmas Reel Off Another Win
St. Petersburg pitcher Sze Wan gave the Cangrejos Fantasmas all they could handle, but in the end, Chesapeake left Ghost Crab Park with a win, 2-0. Wan allowed 2 runs on 7 hits over 6.2 innings. Bob Merendino came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Mario Pérez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 23rd save.

Had Alan Peck not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Peck hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Cangrejos Fantasmas.

"I feel like we're rolling now," Peck told the Chesapeake Daily News."The dugout is coming alive."

The first-place Cangrejos Fantasmas have a one-game lead in their division.
