Ithaca designated hitter Javier Blanco had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Blanco was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice, even as Olympia beat the Fighting Imps, 8-7. The win went to Shafeeq bin Fakhry in relief, making him now 3-2. Bob Daniel took the loss for Ithaca. Ramiro Ramírez finished to wrap up his 17th save.

This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the 11th, David Lakerveld hit a sacrifice fly. The Ogres took the lead, 8-7.

"We took home the win," said Lakerveld. "What's not to like?"
