With first baseman Yannick Bouwman leading the charge, the Crescent City Krewe defeated the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 6-2, at Field of the Krewe. Bouwman was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The victory gives Crescent City a record of 38-32.
Bouwman had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Burt Dickerson, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Krewe a 6-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Bouwman.
"Nice win for us," said Bouwman. "Now we'll go after the next one."
