Chesapeake turned a good effort from starter Ed Perkins into a win over the Lake Murray MotorBoaters at Ghost Crab Park. The final score was 3-2. Perkins, now 7-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Mario Pérez closed out the game, earning his 24th save.
Alan Peck broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It put the Cangrejos Fantasmas in front, 3-2. For the game, Peck drove in one run.
"Bottom line," said Lake Murray skipper David Buchanan, "we didn't play well enough to win."
