The Idaho Falls Chukars got a superb performance from pitcher Ángel Ortíz, but the Mancelona Torch still won the game, 3-2. Ortíz threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Luis Roelands picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Ángel Ortíz was tagged with the loss. Isaak van Breugel locked down his 1st save.

Making an impact for the home team was Andrés Vega. In the bottom of the seventh, the 21-year old center fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Torch.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Idaho Falls manager Robby Long.

The Chukars drop to 7-10, as their stumbling start to the 2063 season continues.
