The Thunder earned a hard-fought, 5-4 win in 11 innings at Baby Thunder Dome. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Toledo pitcher Peter Brenchley. Brenchley went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner in relief was John Allen. He is now 3-1. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The Thunder, at 32-38, have now won 4 straight.

The Thunder got a clutch hit from first baseman David Robinson. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Thunder.

"This place was rockin'," Robinson said.
