Atoms Tack 5-2 Loss on Crescent City

The Bethesda Atoms knocked off the Crescent City Krewe, 5-2, at Field of the Krewe. Nick Watson was a big reason Bethesda won. The center fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Fred Rucker picked up his 3rd save of the season. With the win, Bethesda upped its record to 44-26.
The Atoms got a big at-bat from right fielder Joe Johnston. For the game, Johnston went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Bethesda a 2-0 lead.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Watson.
