The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis converted a terrific effort from starter Gilberto Espinoza into a win over the Crescent City Krewe at Field of the Krewe. The Mariachis won the game by a final score of 4-2. Alberto Martínez earned his 8th save, after closing out the game. Nuevo Mexico occupies 4th place in the Premier AA at 38-33.

Jorge Cordero had a direct impact on the outcome. Cordero contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Nuevo Mexico up, 4-1.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Cordero.
