Good production from shortstop Micheal Ball helped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles topple the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 4-3. Ball went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Screaming Eagles. The win gives Mercer Island a season record of 40-31.

Ball had a timely hit for Mercer Island in the bottom of the eighth. With Mercer Island trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-1 splitter into a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Mercer Island.

After the game, Mercer Island manager Jonah Moody applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
