The Vancouver Vipers overcame a good performance by Olympia first baseman Kevin O'Rourke to knock off Olympia, 10-8, at The Ogre Den. O'Rourke went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once. Bill Carson, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. Vancouver, with the win, sits at 25-47.

Vancouver used a well-timed hit by Rick Henshaw-Jacobs to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Vipers ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Henshaw-Jacobs.
