Fighting Imps Lose Versus Toledo, 6-1
|
The Toledo Saboteurs went home winners at Toledo Backyard Park, thanks in large part to starter Chris Morris. Morris stifled the Ithaca Fighting Imps, enabling Toledo to grab the 6-1 win. The Saboteurs now have a record of 25-49.
With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Christian Brown had a game-changing hit. The Saboteurs second baseman slammed a 2-run single off John Terry, making the score 4-1, Toledo.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Morris. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
