The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles eked out a 3-2 win versus the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas at Ghost Crab Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Rick Burnett. He was terrific. Ron Pitts earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Screaming Eagles.

Orlando Rodríguez had a direct impact on the outcome. Rodríguez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Mercer Island up, 3-2.
