Cuesta Stars in 5-3 Mariachis Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 22-year old first baseman Iván Cuesta helped the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis beat the Bethesda Atoms, 5-3. With the win, Nuevo Mexico upped its record to 40-35.
Cuesta had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 sinker from Gerald Huff, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Mariachis a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Cuesta.
"We did enough to win," said Cuesta.
