Patriots Suffer 9-5 Home Loss
The Toronto Thunder downed the Boston Patriots, 9-5, at Dunkin Donuts Park. The Thunder were led by Lance Slaymaker. Slaymaker went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Brandon Fox picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-7. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. Ron Murphy earned his 25th save, after closing out the game.

In the first inning, Slaymaker had a 2-run double for Toronto. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Thunder on top, 3-0.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Thunder manager Jordan Smith.

The Thunder win now puts them at 56-44.
