Fighting Imps Saddle Highlanders with 4-1 Loss
|
Ithaca Fighting Imps starter Zebulon Pike was in fine form against the Asheville Highlanders at Imps Park, leading his team to a win, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Pike, now 2-0. He tossed 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The Fighting Imps bumped their record to 44-31 with this win.
Ithaca took a 2-1 lead on Dan Bray's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Asheville pitcher Rob Sawyer in the bottom of the seventh.
"I like what I saw today," said Ithaca manager Albert Pérez, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
