Fighting Imps Fall to Ogres Late
|
The Olympia Ogres defeated the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 5-2, at Imps Park. Olympia right fielder Armando Andrade had a superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 21st save for Olympia was Mark Sims. The Ogres improved to 35-40.
Had Andrade not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Andrade hit a 2-run single. The Ogres took the lead, 4-2, and never looked back.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Andrade told the Olympia Daily.
