Cangrejos Fantasmas Squeeze By Nuevo Mexico, 3-2

Fans watched the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas and the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis fight to the finish.
The Cangrejos Fantasmas grabbed a win, 3-2, at Mariachi Band Shell, overcoming a fine effort from Nuevo Mexico pitcher David O'Halloran. O'Halloran went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Chesapeake is now 48-28, 3 games up in the Premier AA.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ronald McKenzie? The 21-year old catcher McKenzie stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Chesapeake up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 2 doubles and 1 single.
"This is a very good team," said McKenzie. "We have the chance to do something special."
