Thunder Prevail, 4-2, Over Chesapeake
|
The St. Petersburg Thunder rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Greg Concepción to a win, beating the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 4-2, at Ghost Crab Park. With the win, the Thunder are 24-52.
Had Stanley Lewis not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Lewis hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Thunder.
"Greg did a nice job," said Thunder manager Terrence Eler.
