The 4-3 St. Petersburg win over Ithaca was due in large part to Tse-peng Thian. The Thunder center fielder went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. St. Petersburg reliever Troy Edwards snagged the win, upping his record to 1-4. Yuk Yan shouldered the loss. After today's action, St. Petersburg sits at 31-45, while Ithaca falls to 38-38.

Mario Ornelas was the walk-off hero for St. Petersburg. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Thunder left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Ornelas told reporters after the game.
