Cangrejos Fantasmas Deal Mariachis 4-3 Defeat
|
Sumiteru Uemura had a strong outing for the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas against the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis at Mariachi Band Shell. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. David Adelabu finished the game for Chesapeake and earned his 19th save. The Cangrejos Fantasmas now own a record of 49-28.
Carlomaria Destefani dealt the Mariachis a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Chesapeake leading 1-0, Destefani, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in stolen bases with 11, hit a full count fastball for a 2-run single.
Nuevo Mexico manager Andrés Ventura said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
