The Olympia Ogres beat the Crescent City Krewe, 7-4, at Field of the Krewe. The Ogres got a fine performance from catcher Lisiate Kaleba, who went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Curt Case got the win, improving to 5-8. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Olympia now sports a record of 37-41.
Jordan Sercombe was 2 for 4 with 2 singles for Olympia. With one out and the game tied in the top of the sixth inning, Sercombe, who is tied for 8th in the PAA in stolen bases with 9, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Crescent City hurler Spike Cornett, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Ogres a 3-2 lead.
