Shredders Take 10-1 Pounding
|
The Buffalo White Walkers picked up a win at Beyond the Wall, dropping the Hollywood Shredders, 10-1. Zebulon Pike, who is tied for 5th in the PL with a 7.9 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Pike, the winner, moves to 8-5. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Juan Luis Matos, credited with the save, is now 8 for 11 in save opportunities.
Hsiao-lou Rui, who finished 3rd in the PL in extra base hits with 51 in 2054, chipped in a 3-run home run for Buffalo in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Rui. "You've got to get results."
The White Walkers go to 45-55, putting them 6th in the Premier League.
