The Minnesota Loons trumped the Providence Pilgrims, 13-2, at Loony Bin. Minnesota designated hitter Dani López was terrific. He was 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Minnesota pitcher Joe Thomas earned the win, hiking his record to 9-3. Arch Stanton suffered the loss. The Minnesota winning streak has reached 3 games.

Efren Alog had a big 3-run home run for the Loons in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Minnesota trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Arch Stanton, the 5th overall pick in the 2054 draft, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Loons on top, 4-2.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Alog, "and then get after it again."
