Ogres Win Streak Reaches 6
|
The 5-0 Olympia win over Marquette was due largely to Clyde Miller. The Ogres second baseman went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. Olympia reliever Shafeeq bin Fakhry snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. John Rutledge shouldered the loss. Jin-u Yong recorded the save for Olympia, his 1st of the season.
With Olympia leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Miller batted against Marquette pitcher John Rutledge. Miller hit a changeup to right for a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season put the Ogres on top, 3-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Miller, "one at-bat at a time."
The third-place Ogres have won 6 in a row.
