Fighting Imps 6-3 Victors Over Mariachis
|
A good performance from shortstop Kidlat Pimentel helped the Ithaca Fighting Imps defeat the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 6-3. Pimentel was 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Fighting Imps. The win puts the Fighting Imps at 36-44, while the Mariachis drop to 41-39.
There was more than one reason the Fighting Imps beat the Mariachis, but Pimentel's big at-bat in the bottom of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 4-2 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Pimentel.
