Marquette Miners starter Joseph Campbell hurled his team past the Vancouver Vipers, 3-2. Marquette reliever Marvin Glendenning picked up the win, raising his record to 6-1. Ricardo Gamera was tagged with the loss. With the victory, the Miners upped their record to 48-32.

Marquette went up, 3-2, on Vicente Mejía's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Mejía hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Vancouver pitcher Ricardo Gamera muttering to himself.

"That's baseball," said Vancouver manager Rafael Longoria. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
