Eric Jenkins was in top form in a tight contest between Bethesda and Mercer Island. The Atoms right-hander helped his team beat the Screaming Eagles, 3-1. Bill Hayes, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 24th save. Bethesda is 5th in the Premier AA with a record of 41-40.
Lawrence Moore drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate against the Screaming Eagles. With the game tied in the top of the sixth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Bethesda in front, 2-1.
"Eric's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Bethesda manager Esteban Garza.
