Guinea Pigs Best Krewe in Pitching Duel
|
Gwinnett used a superb performance from starting pitcher Rod Pritchard to down the Crescent City Krewe, 2-1. Pritchard got the win, improving to 5-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Matt Griffin nailed down his 21st save.
Gwinnett used the hitting of Richard Fairchild to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Guinea Pigs on top, 2-1. For the game, Fairchild had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
