Thunder Lose to White Walkers, 4-1
|
The Buffalo White Walkers topped the Toronto Thunder, 4-1, in United States Premier League action at Beyond the Wall. The game was highlighted by the performance of Buffalo pitcher Jake Haynes. Buffalo, at 54-47, sits in 4th place in the Premier League.
Olvido Doesburg had a big run-scoring triple for the White Walkers in the bottom of the third inning. With Buffalo leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Arvin Lawton and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the White Walkers ahead, 3-1.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Haynes.
