At Vipers Ballpark, the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas and Vancouver Vipers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old first baseman Gerald Alston, the Vancouver Vipers stopped the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 9-2, in 9 innings. The win makes Vancouver 33-50.

Manuel Méndez, who is tied for 7th in the PAA with a .303 batting average, took Chesapeake hurler Sumiteru Uemura deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Vipers on top, 2-0. In all, Méndez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
