Mercer Island beat Nuevo Mexico at Mariachi Band Shell, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Wally Green. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Charles Siddorn picked up the win, lifting his record to 9-3 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 4 in 6.2 innings, while yielding 5 runs. Paul Jefferson closed the door for Mercer Island, picking up his 16th save of the year.

Dane Kennedy had a big hit for Mercer Island in the top of the fifth inning. With Mercer Island leading 5-0, Kennedy hit a solo home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Screaming Eagles up, 6-0.

"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Andrés Ventura, the Nuevo Mexico manager.
