Screaming Eagles Reel Off Another Win
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Mercer Island Screaming Eagles.

Mercer Island Screaming Eagles starter José García turned in an exceptional performance against the Vancouver Vipers at Mercer Island Grounds, resulting in a Mercer Island win, 10-1. García, now 6-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 run.

Nobuo Kobayashi cracked a home run off Jesús Bojórquez in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Screaming Eagles on top, 2-0. In all, Kobayashi had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"José had good arm action, good stuff," said Mercer Island manager Jonah Moody.

The winning continues for Mercer Island, with the latest triumph making it 11 straight.
