The Vancouver Vipers beat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 6-1. Vancouver pitcher and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, native Jean-Jacques Grimaud led the way. Grimaud, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in complete games with 1, went the distance for Vancouver. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. With the win, Vancouver pushed its record to 47-38.

Vancouver used the hitting of Jorge Hernández to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Vipers on top, 2-0. For the game, Hernández had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

In postgame comments to the Vancouver Daily News, Hernández said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
