Krewe Lose 4-1 Decision to Nuevo Mexico
At Mariachi Band Shell, the Crescent City Krewe and Nuevo Mexico Mariachis were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Nuevo Mexico Mariachis starter Ed Davenport was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Crescent City Krewe, 4-1. Davenport, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk.

The Mariachis got a big at-bat from shortstop Harvey Mueller, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Mariachis on top, 4-1.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Davenport.

The win makes Nuevo Mexico 44-42.
