Henshaw-Jacobs has 3 hits, Vancouver Gets 13-4 Victory
The Vancouver Vipers cruised to a win over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 13-4, at Mercer Island Grounds. Rick Henshaw-Jacobs led the way, going 3-for-5 for Vancouver. Gil Burke got the win, improving to 3-4. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Jim Steele closed the door for Vancouver, picking up his 1st save of the year.

A key moment came with no one out in the top of the third. That's when Henshaw-Jacobs hit a fastball from Han-soo Yang for a 2-run single, putting Vancouver up, 5-1.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Vancouver manager Rafael Longoria.

With the win, the Vipers improved to 35-52.
