Screaming Eagles 6-1 Winners Versus Vancouver
|
Mark Moss pitched a gem to lead Mercer Island to victory over the Vancouver Vipers, 6-1. Moss, now 6-3, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 2, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Ron Pitts picked up the save, his 1st.
The Screaming Eagles got a big at-bat from catcher Feng Ma, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Screaming Eagles on top, 3-1.
Ma attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
Mercer Island's record now stands at 40-47, placing them 8th in the Premier AA.
