Mercer Island and Minnesota duked it out and the Screaming Eagles came out victorious.

The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles picked up a win at Loony Bin, knocking off the Minnesota Loons, 4-2. Starting pitcher Lorenzo Castillo was a big reason why. Mercer Island is now 63-25, 6 games up in the Premier AA.

Mercer Island used the timely hitting of Floyd Hoover to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Screaming Eagles on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Mercer Island manager Ricardo Vargas called it "a darn good win."
