The Crescent City Krewe scooped up a win at Vipers Ballpark, dumping the Vancouver Vipers, 3-1. Miguel Romero, who is rated as the 85th best prospect by BNN, was essential to his team's success. With the win over Vancouver, the Krewe improved to 45-43.

John Smith had a direct impact on the outcome. Smith contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Crescent City up, 2-0.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Crescent City manager Jack Morton.
