Toledo Gets 4-0 Win
|
The Toledo Stingers downed the Baltimore Bullets, 4-0, at Baltimore Grounds. Toledo pitcher Al Moore definitely brought his A-game. Toledo has now won 4 games in a row.
The Bullets had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Stingers going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Viet Long came to the plate. Long hit a solo home run on a 0-2 fastball from Baltimore hurler Larry Wallace. It was Long's 5th home run of the year.
"I like what I saw today," said Toledo manager David Bunting, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
