Javelina Squelch Fighting Imps Offense in Shutout Win
|
Getting an impressive start from Bong-ok Nae, Arizona beat Ithaca by the score of 3-0. Stanley Thompson nailed down his 13th save. The victory puts Arizona at 28-63.
Ernie Jamieson, who is tied for 8th in the PAA with a .478 slugging percentage, came through for Arizona with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. The first baseman went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 RBI.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Javelina manager Dino Moonglampers. "This one was nice to get."
