Gwinnett Guinea Pigs starter Brooks Brown pitched well against the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Experimental Stadium, leading his team to a win, 6-2. Matt Griffin closed it out for his 23rd save. Gwinnett is now 39-53.

Phil Noble was a prime contributor to the Gwinnett win. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the first with one out, the 23-year old first baseman hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-1, in favor of the Guinea Pigs.
