The Marquette Miners pinned a convincing loss on the Olympia Ogres, 9-2, at The Ogre Den. Lenny Dee was a main factor in the win. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for Marquette. The Miners saw their win-loss record go to 45-47. At the same time, the Ogres fell to 46-46.

Dee made an early impact for Marquette when he stroked his 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Miners on top, 6-0.

"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Andrés Gonzáles.
