Atoms Get Better of Fighting Imps, 7-2
Bethesda Atoms starter Simon Foster turned in a top-notch performance against the Ithaca Fighting Imps at Atoms Field. The result was a win for the Atoms, 7-2. The first-place Atoms, at 57-35, lead the Premier AA by 3 games.

In the bottom of the third inning, center fielder Nick Watson had a 2-run double for Bethesda. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Atoms on top, 2-0.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Jeffrey Lewis.
