Nuevo Mexico turned a good effort from starting pitcher Curtis López into a win over the Vancouver Vipers at Mariachi Band Shell. The final score was 3-2 in 11 innings. Nuevo Mexico is now 46-47.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Nuevo Mexico first baseman Ken Jennings, facing Ricardo Gamera, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Mariachis the 3-2 win.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Vancouver manager Rafael Longoria.
