Krewe Deal Screaming Eagles 4-3 Setback
|
The Crescent City Krewe picked up a win at Field of the Krewe, dropping the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-3. Kevin Webb was the difference-maker. Webb yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 5-0. Will Gordon earned the save for Crescent City, his 9th of the year.
Luis Solís had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fifth for Crescent City. With the bases loaded and the Krewe leading 3-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
After the game, Crescent City manager Jack Morton applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
At 51-42, the Krewe are currently 4th in the Premier AA.
