Seattle starter Jason Kofod put a stranglehold on the Colorado offense. The left-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Rocketeers to a 7-1 win. The winning pitcher was Kofod, now 5-1. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Seattle is now 51-51, Colorado 49-53.

The Rocketeers got a big at-bat from third baseman Cortland Talman. For the game, Talman went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Seattle a 4-1 lead.

"That was a really good outing by Jason," said Seattle manager Andrew Powell.
