Cattlemen Get Clutch Win Versus Baltimore
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen overcame a good performance by Baltimore center fielder Jesús González to knock off Baltimore, 6-5, in 11 innings at Baltimore Grounds. González was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ft. Worth reliever Jeff Forrest, who is tied for 5th in the PL in saves with 16, was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-7. Larry Wallace took the loss for Baltimore. The win gives the Cattlemen a record of 35-67.

Ft. Worth took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when David Robinson hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Cattlemen in front, 6-5.

"Big win," said Robinson.
