Patriots Shut Out Cattlemen, 4-0
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Boston fans at Dunkin Donuts Park.

Boston turned a good effort from starter Eric Buchanan into a win over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen at Dunkin Donuts Park. The final score was 4-0. Sidney Petty closed it out for Boston, earning his 1st save.

Bill Meeks had a big run-scoring double for the Patriots in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a cutter from former first round draft pick Chase Davis and swatted a double to right. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Patriots ahead, 2-0.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Boston manager Tyler Carter. "That's what Eric is right now."

The first-place Patriots, at 66-36, lead the Premier League by 3½ games.
