In a well-pitched game between the Philadelphia Liberty Academy and the Crescent City Krewe, pitcher Víctor Rodríguez was fantastic. The Philadelphia right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-1. Rodríguez, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. The Liberty Academy, at 42-53, sit in 8th place in the Premier AA.
António García provided a timely hit. The Philadelphia third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Liberty Academy on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Rodríguez said.
