The Bethesda Atoms took Gilberto Espinoza's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Atoms Field. The final score had Bethesda getting past the Mariachis, 5-4, in 10 innings. Espinoza over 7.2 innings allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4. The 5th-place Mariachis dropped to 47-48.

Jeffrey Whittier did his part for the Atoms, producing a 2-run double in the bottom of the second inning. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
