The Mancelona Torch went home winners at Torch Field, thanks in large part to starter Leonard Robertson. Robertson stifled the Put-In-Bay Commodores, enabling Mancelona to grab the 4-1 win. In 7.1 innings, Robertson surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. At 10-13, the Torch find themselves in 9th place in the Menard's A.

Juan Vega had a big 2-run double for the Torch in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Mancelona leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher John Farmer and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Torch ahead, 3-0.

Mancelona manager Eric Craft commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
