Patriots Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
The Boston Patriots eked out a 1-0 win versus the Seattle Rocketeers at Boeing Dome. Nobody did more than pitcher Iiri Lahti. He was terrific. Lahti got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Ron Murphy sewed up the save, his 2nd.

Bill Meeks, who is tied for 10th in the PL in bases on balls with 39, had a direct impact on the outcome. Meeks contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Boston up, 1-0.

"Iiri did a nice job," said Patriots manager Tyler Carter.

With this game in the books, Boston is 56-46, Seattle 58-44.
