Idaho Falls pitcher Bo George had a large part in his team subduing the Niagara Falls Expos, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. George got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Justin Joseph earned the save, his 3rd.
Idaho Falls used a clutch at-bat from Wes Noble to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Chukars ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It's a mindset," said George. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The 7th-place Chukars now have a win-loss record of 11-12.
