The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles picked up a win at Mercer Island Grounds, courtesy of Han-soo Yang. The right-hander helped his team stop the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 3-2. Mercer Island is now 58-38, Chesapeake 59-37.
Wally Green, who is tied for 5th in the PAA with a .376 on-base percentage, helped out the Mercer Island cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a double.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Mercer Island manager Jonah Moody.
